The HomeRF Working Group today announced that existing second-generation products based on the open HomeRF 2.0 specification are now certifiable in Europe. ETSI (European Telecommunications Standards Institute) recently approved a new revision to rules governing the use of wideband frequency hopping technologies in the 2.4 GHz ISM band, and this facilitates the introduction of more advanced versions of wireless home networking products.
