Norway Signals No Objections to Reform of Norsk Hydro
Norsk Hydro, Norway's second-largest oil and gas producer, could face a shake-up, after Oslo indicated on Friday that it would not object to a split of the firm. The state holds a 44% stake in Norsk Hydro.
The comments from Ansgar Gabrielsen, Minister for Trade and Industry, sent the company's share price up 3%, adding to gains of 10% in the fourth quarter of 2001.
