BRITISH PETROLEUM CO. APPOINTS SOUTHWEST VECO INC. TO CLEAN THE SHORELINE FROM HUNTINGTON BEACH PIER TO THE SANTA ANA RIVER DELTA

LONG BEACH, Calif., Feb. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- The British Petroleum Co. issued a purchase order Feb. 10 to Southwest VECO Inc. of Long Beach to clean the shoreline from the Huntington Beach Pier to the Santa Ana River Delta.

VECO is the same firm commissioned by Exxon to cleanup the Valdez oil spill in Prince William Sound from March to September 1989.
