HCFC compatibility with IC packages still in question
MELROSE PARK, IL--A circuit-board cleaner based on hydrochlorofluorocarbons (HCFCs) is the first to pass benchmark tests sanctioned by the Department of Defense and Environmental Protection Agency, suggesting that the design implications of phasing out chlorofluorocarbon-based cleaners may not be as far-reaching as originally feared.
