ROCHESTER, N.Y., Feb. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Rochester Telephone Corp. (NYSE: RTC) announced today that it has signed a letter of intent to acquire the Schuyler Telephone Co. of Rushville, Ill.

The joint announcement was made David C. Mitchell, president of Rochester Tel's Telephone Group, and Gary Crum, president of Schuyler Telephone.
