Not one tear bubbled up in Jacques Lemaire's eyes. His upper lip never quivered. His voice didn't crack. If you didn't know any better, you might think the Wild coach doesn't give one hoot that tonight he'll coach his 600th NHL game. And that he'll do it against a team he played for and coached, the Montreal Canadiens.
Now that we mention it, Lemaire doesn't care. Coaching 600 games isn't phenomenal. Thirty-one other NHL coaches have done it. It's impressive, but you get the feeling Lemaire wouldn't care if he was the first. To him, milestones are like tie clips: nice to have, but not really ...
