Reliable prepares own format
INDIANAPOLIS--Offering savings of up to 50% on a wide variety of goods, Reliable Drug Stores is in the process of clearing out inventory as it prepares to unveil its own format in this and other markets. The 114-unit chain, owned by an investment consortium, consisting of the Robert Bass Group, Acadia Partners, and former Rite Aid executives Roger Grass and Charles Conaway, is also hanging new signing in its units. The Reliable banner began appearing on stores in November, and this facet of the conversion effort of the former Peoples Drug Stores outlets is expected to be finished by January.
