Four religious communities committed to ecumenical and interreligious work have pledged to work together to make their work more efficient.
Leaders of the Paulist Fathers, Sisters of Our Lady of Sion, Franciscan Friars of the Atonement and Franciscan Sisters of the Atonement signed a joint statement Dec. 7 reaffirming their commitment to interfaith work and announcing they will work on various projects together.
"We seek to bring mutual understanding and respect, reconciliation and partnership within our church, with other Christians, with Jewish people and with those of other world faiths," their statement said.
