Jan. 9--The sharp decline in the mobile phones market is taking its toll on Dixons, sending sales of Britain's biggest electrical retailer into reverse last year.
The decline continued over Christmas and overshadowed a strong performance from other parts of the group on the back of strong demand for wide-screen TV sets, DVD players and games consoles.
Dixons shares were marked down 15 pence to 224 1/4 pence on the news -- the biggest faller in the FTSE 100 index.
