FIBER FILLS THE BILL
WHEN it comes to health, the mood in the United States is definitely swinging to the right-- the right foods, that is--those that are "good for us," as opposed to those that lead to bad health and heart disease. Fiber is a food substance that is at the top of the "good" list and its health value seems to be increasing all the time.
Dietary fiber is that part of whole grains, fruits, vegetables, beans, nuts and seeds that humans cannot digest. It is also that part of the non-animal foods that aids in digestion, elimination, and in lowering blood cholesterol in some people.
