PROVIDENCE, R.I.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 10, 2002

The Business Development Company of Rhode Island (BDC) today announced the second annual Rhode Island Business Plan Competition that will award a $50,000 cash prize to the winner.

One of the region's richest business plan contests, the Rhode Island Business Plan Competition awards a $50,000 prize to a single winner.

Applications to participate in the competition are being accepted online at www.ribizplan.com. A winner will be announced June 13 at Venture 2002, to be held in Warwick.
