Its first season was short, but sweet.
To say that the new Lynnhaven Boat Ramp and Beach Facility has been greeted with enthusiasm would be a gross understatement. The 86 spaces that accommodate trailers and boats have seen consistent turnover from visitors across Virginia Beach and beyond.
``Everyone is very pleased,'' said Philip Bargy, the Department of Parks and Recreation assistant who will supervise the facility. ``I've seen lots of repeat faces and lots of onlookers.''
On Shore Drive at the foot of the Lesner Bridge, the marina had an early opening Dec. 21 despite some unfinished construction. ...
