''When the world ends I want to be in Cincinnati, because everything happens there 10 years later,'' - Mark Twain?
It is probably the most famous and often used Mark Twain quote in these parts. Reporters, commentators and others love to refer to it when talking about the Queen City's provincial image, whether justified or not.
The problem is, there's no evidence Mark Twain ever said it.
In researching his PBS documentary on Twain, Ken Burns said he never came across the quote, confirming what any Twain scholar will tell you: The remark appears nowhere in Twain's writings and there are no known newspaper accounts at ...
