ROCHESTER TEL TO ACQUIRE FIRST TELEPHONE COMPANY IN SOUTHEAST,
MONROEVILLE TELEPHONE CO. OF ALABAMA
ROCHESTER, N.Y., Feb. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Rochester Telephone Corp. (NYSE: RTC) announced today that it has signed a letter of intent to purchase Monroeville Telephone Co. of Monroeville, Ala. It represents the Rochester-based company's first acquisition in the Southeast.
The announcement was made in Rochester by David C. Mitchell, president of Rochester Tel's Telephone Group, and in Monroeville by Gayle Kennedy, president of the Monroeville company.
