Grant did its scoring in three unusually distinct waves on Friday night.
The Bulldogs picked apart North Chicago for 22 points with their shuffle offense in the first quarter, stepped back to hit a few 3- pointers in the slower second and third periods and then held off two fourth-quarter rallies by the Warhawks by hitting 11 of their final 14 free throws.
Added together, the combination was good for a 62-52 North Suburban Conference Prairie victory, the Bulldogs' 11th of the year, and a 3-2 record at the halfway point of the conference schedule.
