There have always been problems with contamination in the water we intend to drink. Even before man the earth's natural contamination polluted our drinking waters. Sometimes this took the form of mineral impurities. Sometimes the contamination was the direct result of plant life and sometimes the water was polluted by the native wildlife species in and around the water source. Today, one of our greatest water contamination health concerns is called "giardiasis" (pronounced gee-ar-dye-a-sis).
