Years when I was desperate for a grain feeder that I could leave out in the pasture for my draft horses, I came up with this tub feeder idea. Horses are well known for tipping over just about anything that you put their ration in. That was frustrating for me, not to mention expensive, because so much went to waste.
Since then I have found these feeders to be indestructible even with endless abuse from horses, pigs, cattle, sheep, and goats. Amazingly the pigs could not tip it over--they pushed it all over the place but never flipped it.
