TIM BUCKLEY Morning Glory: The Tim Buckley Anthology Rhino 76722
This is a lovely two-disc collection, featuring an extensive overview of the music of Tim Buckley. It begins with selections from 1966's Tim Buckley and follows his career through 1974's Look At The Fool. Everything from the first disc works superbly. The romanticism of early cuts like "Song Slowly Song" and "Aren't You The Girl" are brought to fullness by gorgeous melodies. The six cuts from Buckley's second album, Goodbye And Hello, show him growing and experimenting with folk rock. "Pleasant Street," with Buckley's achingly beautiful vocal, is a personal favorite.
