A new industry group is planning a ``biotech condo'' to nurse new and existing life-science companies in Washtenaw County and combat what it sees as the biggest impediment to a thriving life-science industry there: a lack of space.
There isn't enough wet lab space - the expensive, specialized research space that life-science companies need - to outfit all the companies that want to come to Washtenaw County, said Donna Shirilla, director of existing-business programs for the Washtenaw Development Council.
