Hong-Kong-based Kingboard Chemical Holdings Limited has signed an agreement with China's leading PC manufacturer, Legend Holdings, to acquire 55 percent equity interests in Legend Techwise Circuits Limited, a manufacturer of printed circuit boards (PCB) currently 85.5% owned by Legend. Kingboard Chemical is a major supplier of laminates to Legend Techwise. According to the agreement, Kingboard Chemical will acquire 55 percent equity interests in Legend Techwise from Legend and an additional 2 percent from an independent third party for HK$229,625,000 (US$29.44 million) and HK$8,350,000 (US$1.07 million) respectively.
