Over the past 25 years, Randall Robinson fashioned TransAfrica into the nation's pre-eminent political lobby for Africa and the Caribbean. Under his leadership, the organization has helped force the demise of apartheid in South Africa and restored the democratically elected president to Haiti.
Robinson now has passed the baton of leadership to other able activists, former labor union executive Bill Fletcher, Jr., who now sits as the new president, and actor Danny Glover, the newly appointed board chairman.
