Jan. 16--The state has suspended the license of a Vancouver-based statewide bail-bonds company, alleging it ignored warnings and allowed an employee to perform duties in its Tacoma office for which she was not licensed.

Metro Bail Bonds, with headquarters at 610 W. Evergreen Blvd., was shut down Monday afternoon by the state Department of Licensing. President Dave Regan said his firm has offices in Vancouver, Seattle, Spokane, Yakima and Tacoma, plus agents who work out of their homes in about 18 other towns around the state.
