MILLIONS of teenage girls dream about their favourite boy band. But Carol Nisbet and Suzanne MacMillan went one step further - they put together their own.

The third-year music students were told to devise a project for their degree course. Rather than write a dissertation on the roots of mainstream jazz or the classical influences on modern pop, they opted for a more exotic challenge.

'Scotland has its own parliament now,' says Carol. 'We thought it was high time it had its own boy band.' Carol and Suzanne grew up screaming at Take That, Westlife and 911.
