The Camillus Village Hall has an asbestos problem, and it's going to cost taxpayers $1,978 to fix it.
That's the amount the vil- lage board agreed last week to pay Environmental Products & Services Inc. to remove the material from furnace pipes and cart it from the building.
"We've got to get this stuff down," Mayor Edward Fletcher said as he urged the trustees to act. "We're going to have to make some kind of improvement."
The board voted 5-0 to accept Environmental Products' bid, the lowest among the three firms that submitted proposals to do the job.
