Saudi Arabia's leaders believe that the U.S. has "overstayed" its welcome. They are increasingly discontent with the U.S. military presence in their country and may soon ask that it end, according to several Saudi sources. The International Herald Tribune reports that such a decision would deprive the United States of use of the Prince Sultan Air Base, from which American power has been sent into the Gulf region and other areas since 1990. American presence in the area began with the onset of the Gulf War.
