Osama bin Laden's disappearing act could be a shortlived Houdini trick or may become the great mystery of the new century.
Speculation is rampant about where the elusive superterrorist has gone, how he got there, whether he is still in Afghanistan and whether he is even still alive.
News reports citing intelligence sources have suggested bin Laden fled the region by sea before the cave complex at Tora Bora was destroyed in early December. Last week, Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf said he believes bin Laden has succumbed to his reported kidney ailment. U.S. officials say they don't know, but they aren't ready to stop looking.
