Vice Mayor Alicia Reece is urging predominantly African-American organizations that are considering canceling their conventions in Cincinnati to ignore calls for a boycott.
Ms. Reece, who is African-American, said the boycott push by the Cincinnati Black United Front and other groups is misguided and will harm the city's black residents.
Officials from the Progressive National Baptist Convention are pondering whether to heed the boycott and move the group's annual conference, scheduled for August at the downtown Albert B. Sabin Cincinnati Convention Center. The 8,000-delegate conference is the largest ...
