Jan. 22--The Unlimited Group, one of Japan's top 10 music producers, has picked Bangkok-based RS Promotion 1992 Co as distributor of its Japanese rock music in Thailand, replacing Sony Music (Thailand).
Unlimited yesterday signed the contract with the country's second largest entertainment firm, marking a significant move by RS to expand beyond its core Thai music business, before listing on the Stock Exchange of Thailand over the next two years.
Under the three-year agreement, RS will pay royalties of between 20 percent and 25 percent to the Japanese firm ...
