It is a lowly cold sore's fate
To spoil the lips of a pretty face,
To cause an itchy, oozy mess,
Sending kisses away for two weeks
(Or sometimes less)

But cold sores can do more than dampen romantic urges. These periodic facial eruptions have been known to spoil family photos and vacations, as well as weddings and honeymoons.
