Jan. 22--Boone County commissioners have recruited local architect Nick Peckham to sketch ideas for future development of the Boone County Fairground.
Peckham will do the work for free. "He does that from the kindness of his heart," Northern District Commissioner Skip Elkin said this morning. "I'm very grateful."
Peckham, however, downplayed his generosity this morning. "We're not doing that much, to tell you the truth," he said. "I won't glorify that."
