Fliers on the 18 routes that Sun Country Airlines flew year-round from the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport saved $246.8 million from mid-1999 to mid-2001, according to a study commissioned by the Star Tribune.
The figure represents the difference between the cost of tickets on Sun Country - and rival airlines matching fares to the same destinations - to fares on trips of comparable distance on routes Sun Country did not fly.
