MELBOURNE, Jan 23 Asia Pulse - Pelican Resources Ltd expects that income from its stake in the Cockatoo Island iron ore project will help fund its gold exploration activities.
Pelican - the company, soon to be listed, was created from the former mining interests of Nugold Hill Mines Ltd - plans to list on the Australian Stock Exchange on Friday.
Nugold intends to leave the mining sector and become a telco, renaming itself Advantage Telecommunications Ltd.
After being suspended since December 3, 2001, Nugold also intends to relist by the end of this week.
