IT WAS a true fashion moment - or 90 moments, to be precise. As one of France's national treasures, nobody was expecting Yves Saint Laurent to retire quietly. But his final couture show was an extravaganza beyond anyone's wildest dreams.
Those in the 2,000-strong audience worried that a one-and-a-half hour retrospective might be a little dreary - even for the most ardent fan - soon had their fears assuaged.
