KING JUAN CARLOS of Spain could charm a republication off a barricade; Lord Nicholas Gordon Lennox is the kind of ambassador who makes diplomatic society respectable. Both men have worked devotedly to improve relations between Spain and Britain. The King even went to England last year to help commemorate the defeat of the Spanish Armada in 1558.
