Jan. 23--Rock Road might be filled up, but eight to 10 intersections farther east will see strong retail growth in 2002. With many shopping centers set to open or begin construction between Webb Road and 127th Street East and between Kellogg and 21st Street, this will be big for the retail market, despite the slowed economy.
"You'll see retail construction stay really hot for the next 18 months and then tail off," said Sherri Prestangen, national director of affiliate research services for real estate firm Grubb & Ellis.
