MEAT SNACK SALES and distribution show no signs of slowing, suppliers tell PROFESSIONAL CANDY BUYER, and sales data from Information Resources, Inc. (IRI) confirms this. In drug stores alone, meat snack dollar sales jumped 69.9 percent during the 52-week period ended August 12, 2001. The category as a whole grew 30.5 percent in sales for the same period.

Where consumers used to have to search grocery store aisles to find their favorite meat snack, stores now have dedicated sections, inline sets and endcaps.
