ATLANTA -- Delta Connection will launch service with the new 70-seat Bombardier CRJ-700 regional jet in nine U.S. cities beginning April 7 and May 1, 2002. The new jet, manufactured by Bombardier Aerospace of Canada, is an enhanced version of the popular 40- and 50-seat CRJ-100/200 series aircraft currently operated by Delta Connection carriers at 158 airports throughout North America, Mexico and the Bahamas.
Effective April 7, Delta Connection will operate the CRJ-700 between Atlanta and six growing markets -- Augusta, Ga.; Huntsville, Ala.; Ft. Wayne, Ind.; Toledo, Ohio; Sarasota, Fla.; and Tallahassee, Fla. On May 1, CRJ-700 service will be added between ...
