IN 1588, it was among the fleet of 150 ships famously confronted by Sir Francis Drake after his game of bowls.
Now, more than 400 years later, the galleon is perhaps about to make a bigger impression on history than it did when, as part of the Spanish Armada, it sailed to ignominious defeat at Drake's hands.
Marine archaeologists believe they have found one of only six unaccounted-for Armada vessels in waters just a few hundred yards from the Highland fishing port of Kinlochbervie.
