Baldwinsville village officials tentatively gave away 3.81 of their allocated five-acre Empire Zone to three village businesses at the Jan. 18 board meeting.
All the businessmen present at the meeting gave trustees detailed financial and building plans, as well as predictions of how many jobs they would create if granted the special tax status.
Onondaga County gave each town and village within the county five Empire Zone acres last September. Once a village identifies eligible properties, it sends a recommendation to the county, which in turn sends the application to the state. Empire Zone benefits include sales ...
