You see the looks first, and really, how could you not? The clear blue eyes and translucent skin, the regal sweep of nose and cheekbones: No one looks like Michelle Pfeiffer, not even the other California blondes.
But she's not an obvious babe. Though she has worked steadily in film since the '80s, Pfeiffer still seems a little elusive.
This may be a factor of personality - Pfeiffer is not a Julia Roberts-level extrovert - or symptomatic of limited acting range. But while it's possible to have a big Hollywood career with minimal talent, Pfeiffer has always seemed a little more complex than her marquee value would suggest. ...
