The mercury dropped, the wind picked up and the snow kept on falling.
It seemed, in short, a perfect day to stop by Olbrich Botanical Gardens -- which is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year -- and take in the second annual show of art that has been inspired by or done at the east side gardens.
The "Olbrich as Art" show of 30 pieces is up in the meeting room at 3330 Atwood Ave. through April 26 -- just about the time when you can go there to see real flowers, not painted ones.
Before I go too far, though, I have to confess something: I find much garden art (and garden writing and garden decorations) too ...
