WASHINGTON -- British Airways and American Airlines have issued the following statement regarding the US Department of Transportation's (DOT's) regulatory conditions in relation to the airlines' anti-trust immunity filing for a proposed alliance.

Andrew Cahn, British Airways' Director of Government and Industry Affairs, and David Cush, American Airlines' Vice President International Planning and Alliances, said:

"The DOT order is a substantial legal document that requires a thorough review before British Airways or American Airlines can comment in detail on its contents.
