Although uncertainty about coverage for terrorism losses remains a significant concern for the insurance industry, the new president of the National Assn. of Insurance Commissioners also wants the NAIC to remain focused on modernizing state regulation.
In fact, Congress' recess last month before passing legislation to address the issue of terrorism coverage may help the NAIC increase its say at the national and international level.
