NEW SPECIAL OLYMPICS PROGRAM IN SOVIET UNION IMPACTS THOUSANDS OF LIVES
WASHINGTON, March 8 /PRNewswire/ -- A Special Olympics delegation comprised of national mental retardation experts, sports administrators, former U.S. and U.S.S.R. Olympic coaches and athletes returned this week from the U.S.S.R. after conducting a historic conference in Sukhumi, Republic of Georgia, which began the process to establish Special Olympics programs throughout the Soviet Union.
