Doing it "by the book" was more than just a cliche to Jim Caviezel when he agreed to star in "The Count of Monte Cristo." His wife is a high-school English teacher.
"Oh, we talked about that," he said emphatically when asked how much influence his wife had. When he was offered the role, "the first thing I did was read the book."
But he didn't stop there. After agreeing to star in the swashbuckling romance, he did extensive research on author Alexandre Dumas.
