LABOUR MPs have plunged Prime Minister Tony Blair into a row by demanding that the office of Welsh Secretary should be scrapped.
Instead, the MPs from the North of England want a new department to be called the Nations and Regions establishment headed by a Secretary of State to represent the English regions as well as Scotland and Wales.
