LOUIS -- LaBarge, Inc. announced today that it was awarded an additional contract in excess of $7 million by PerkinElmer Detection Systems, which expands the Company's role in producing electronic equipment for airport checked-baggage X-ray inspection systems. In addition to producing electronic and box-level assemblies, LaBarge will integrate these assemblies into higher level electronic equipment for the Vivid VIS108, an inspection system that uses X-rays to detect the presence of explosive materials, weapons or other contraband.
