Joining the growing field of integrated trading-to-back-office service providers, New York City-based Marco Polo Network next month will go live with a new trading platform for 12 emerging markets, starting with Johannesburg, under the name TradeTraveller.
Launched in early 2000 by Vinode Ramgopal, a former Lehman Brothers emerging market investment banker, the firm is targeting U.S. institutional broker-dealers and fund managers who might otherwise need to rely on their own network of intermediary broker-dealers to execute the trades.
