UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. -- Buoyed by four Golden Globe awards and enthusiastic word-of-mouth, "A Beautiful Mind," producer Brian Grazer and director Ron Howard's acclaimed drama inspired by events in the life of Nobel Prize-winning genius John Forbes Nash, Jr., has tightened its hold on the box office with weekend receipts of $11.5 million in 2237 theaters, an average of $5155 per theater. This weekend's numbers are down a mere two per cent from last weekend.
