This past week at the Boulder Theatre, drummer Roy Haynes and the members of his all-star Birds of a Feather band not only sold out the house, they brought it down as well.
The event delivered one of the more positive messages around for jazz fans: a straight-ahead quintet that relied only on talent generated enormous excitement among a fairly young audience.
